Healing Frequency Music by Marion O’Sullivan

Healing Frequency Music by Marion O’Sullivan

It was around a year ago I noticed my body still hadn’t completely relaxed and come back to its normal state after the throws of menopause. I had an adrenaline test and with no surprise my levels were too high. High blood pressure was a concern too. Along with these symptoms and an anxiety hangover from menopause I had to acknowledge I was still in a bit of a mess. My body did feel frazzled but I thought that was due to excitement having regained most of my brain back.

During my mediation time I was still a bit fidgety and easily distracted. I had been doing extra breath work for six months which helped enormously but I knew I wasn’t quite there yet. I began walking a minimum of one and a half miles a day and there were good results but I still needed that extra ‘thing’.

I can’t quite remember where the inspiration came from but I searched on Spotify for ‘Healing Frequency Music’. There were so many different hertz levels. I wasn’t prepared to take a mini course in Acoustics or Sonics, so I plunged for the one with the ‘nice’ title. Often our gut knows best!

Whilst at work I often play ‘Coffee Morning Jazz’ or a mixture of classical and opera which I have put together on a play list. Some time ago I did a survey on what people liked or didn’t like about treatment sessions – the biggest complaint was the music. After a dear friend begged me to change the music during her session I rethought and that was when I created my own playlist.

Healing frequency music is your classic ‘whale-song’ that is concomitant with Spa and therapy centres. I began to introduce this music back into my sessions, purely to maximize my listening time. With regard to my previous feedback, I would mention to my client that I was playing this intentionally, for deep relaxation. I experimented with 432Hertz and 528Hertz to begin with and found them to be inoffensive and very soothing indeed. So did my clients, which was a relief.

I felt it wasn’t quite enough though, only playing for an hour or so and decided whilst at home for two days, I was going to only listen to one vibration all day. I chose 528Htz, not for any reason; perhaps that Spotify play list was longer.

It was extremely pleasant and I began to feel very content throughout the day. As it neared 6pm a strange deeper feeling began to occur, I began to feel very heavy. Not depressed or tired but as if the centre of my body had become a heavy solid weight. It felt like every tiny fragment of my body, and all the space I occupied was drawn towards the centre of my core. To say I became totally centred is as accurate as I can explain, yet this was quite unique to being ‘centred’ in the past. This was more physical than ever and couldn’t shake myself out of it.

As the evening approached I turned off the music and looked forward to a good night’s sleep, which I had. The next morning I expected to jump out of bed all refreshed but instead I was just as heavy, yet still centred, as the day before. I’ll be totally honest, I did worry and think ‘what have I done to myself?’ I felt like a huge magnet; all my extremities were like iron filings which became stuck to me. The only way forward was to keep going. I immediately put the music back on.

It only took a couple of hours before I began to feel energy moving through me again. Instead of lifting up out of where I was, instead my solid core felt like it was resonating and humming then it began to expand; yes getting lighter but still so grounded and solid. It felt like I’d reset the entire structure of my body and felt more ‘in’ my body than ever before.

It was this experience that reminded me of Masaru Emoto’s experiments with water. He is a Japanese businessman and author. He experimented with water and noted positive and negative affirmations or emotions (harmonious and inharmonious frequencies) aimed at the water produced either crystalline shapes or distorted shapes in the waters molecular formation, respectively. Quite incredible, you may remember this. There is also John Beaulieu who played around with this concept of frequency creating sacred geometrical shapes. Beaulieu made a Cymatics machine that demonstrated that when a certain frequency was emitted, sand particles moved. As he changed the frequency of the music the sand moved and reformed into other classic shapes. He further went on to develop ‘Sound healing’ courses using tuning forks. (Also, watch Veda Austen on her own inquisitive journey with water. YOUTUBE)

It was then obvious to me, that if this is having an effect on water and shaping its molecular structure then it will shape the water within my own cells and it can support healing on a deeper level; if this is having an effect on water and we are 70% water, then different frequencies will have a consequential affect on our bodies.

Music has always uplifted me but I only ever thought of this as an audible experience affecting my emotions and it can be temporary. I am now a year playing sacred sound music regularly and the experience has left me with a profound sense of change for the better in my body. Now I understand why church music is written using these frequencies and the acoustics in churches are specifically designed as they are. The ancients have always been more in-tune (pardon the pun) with sacred music too.

I shared this with a client whose stress levels were so high from her excruciating IBS and intense career. She returned a couple of weeks later to say she felt a notable difference in her well-being after playing healing frequency music regularly. Another client who suffers from anxiety also agrees to its positive effects.

When I first began, I only felt it to be vibration ‘moving’ the cells right down to my central nervous system. I certainly hadn’t conceived the vibration as re-formulating them! And I can never prove that it is. What I do know is, our cells are regenerating all the time, we actually aren’t standing in the same bunch of cells that we were 2 years ago. Every cell from our skin to our eyes and bones have died and regenerated; we have an entirely new body. So I do like to think, as the cells are reforming, if I can give them a chance to form in a better crystalline structure, then my body will be more at ease rather than dis-ease. And that is what has made the difference; a deep ease in my body resulting in my adrenaline levels dropping.

Today, I not only appreciate the wellness I experience, I also hold my water bottle and say something positive to it every morning before I start my day. My younger self would cringe looking on at me, but that’s one of the joys of post menopause, you lose those silly inhibitions and replace them with personal rituals that work best.
